“We didn’t want our story to be about our loss but what we can do, despite of our loss.”

Our son Hiro was only 3 years old when doctors discovered a large tumour on the brainstem of his posterior cranial fossa. For almost four years he fought through multiple operations, intense chemotherapy, a double lung transplant, and numerous complications. But despite his courageous efforts, Hiro passed away on March 21st, 2020.

We created HIRO Cycle because we wanted to build something that was fun and exciting, not only, to pay tribute to Hiro, but also allow us to give back to a place that was like home for us.

Over the course of Hiro’s journey, we spent countless hours at the Stollery Children’s hospital where doctors, nurses, and staff took incredible care of us. For that, we are forever grateful.

10% of the proceeds of e-scooters and e-bikes sold will go to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and other local children’s hospitals.
